Up Coming Events: Congregational Women Congregational Women will meet, Tuesday, May 13 at 12:30 pm at Samuel’s restaurant in Suttons Bay. After a lunch of soup and salad, Sam, the owner, will demonstrate the preparation of the dessert to be served. Please sign up in the narthex to reserve your spot for this fun afternoon of fellowship. Cost is $18/person. SBCC Inquirers’ Meeting If you are interested in learning more about the possibility of becoming a member of SBCC, we invite you to join us for an Inquirers’ Breakfast and Conversation on Sunday, May 18 at 9 am, in the Gathering Place at the church. There is a sign-up sheet on the Narthex table. If you are interested in joining the church but cannot attend that gathering, please indicate that on the sheet in the Narthex. Presentation on replacing the organ On May 18th, there will be an informational meeting after church to discuss the purchase of a replacement organ. This meeting is not for the purpose of congregational approval, as this campaign is a non-budgetary item and does not require a vote. We are very excited about offering this musical opportunity to enhance and expand our instrumental capabilities at a substantially lower cost than would normally be possible. The Congregational Women have already committed $500 toward this campaign. Scrooby Groups The Hospitality Committee invites individuals and/or couples to join Scrooby Groups forming in April. Scrooby Groups are groups of six to eight people (arranged by the Hospitality Committee) who will meet quarterly in each other’s homes to share a meal and friendly conversation. Scrooby group is a great opportunity to get to know your pew neighbors better. Scrooby group sign-up sheets will be in the church narthex until the 3rd Sunday in April. You may also call the church office to sign up if you are unable to get to church. You will be contacted once the groups have been formed. Hope to see many of you at supper soon.
